Dr. Herbert Becker is a fellowship trained ophthalmologist in both Pediatric and Strabismus as well as Retina and Vitreous Disease. He has been practicing ophthalmology for over 10 years. He is a highly trained surgeon who performs extraocular muscle surgeries, vitrectomies, retinal repairs, laser surgeries and various other ocular procedures on both children and adults. 

Dr. Becker was born in Spokane, Washington. He received his medical degree from the University of Washington and completed his ophthalmology residency at Eastern Virginia Medical School. He then went on to The University of Illinois at Chicago where he finished two separate fellowship programs, one in pediatric ophthalmology and the other in vitreo-retinal ophthalmology. He has been treating patients in the greater Chicagoland area and Rockford since 1998. 

Dr. Becker enjoys treating children and help everything from the premature infant eye care to adolescent eye alignment problems. As an accomplished retina surgeon, he helps to preserve sight with his diabetic and macular degeneration patients.
